Sweepstakes Period: The “mtvU Dean’s List: Zune Giveaway Sweepstakes” (the “Sweepstakes”) commences at or around 12:00:01 p.m. (noon) (ET) on November 27, 2006 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (ET) on December 8, 2006. All On-site entries must be made during the scheduled operating hours of the applicable “Dean’s List Casting Call” tour location (each a “Tour Location”) during the applicable scheduled date of the Tour. Eligibility: This Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the continental United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age or older at time of entry and who are currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college or university at time of entry. VOID IN ALASKA, HAWAII, FLORIDA AND WHEREVER PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Employees (and their immediate families and households) of MTV Networks On Campus Inc. (“MTVNOC”), a subsidiary of Viacom International Inc. (“Viacom”), Microsoft Corporation, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, related entities and advertising agencies or any person who has won an MTVNOC contest or sweepstakes in the twelve (12) month period preceding the start of this Sweepstakes are not eligible. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants (a) agree to be bound by these Official Rules and by the decisions of MTVNOC, which are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes, and (b) acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules.

To Enter: On-site entries will be accepted at each of the ten (10) mtvU Dean’s List Casting Call Tour Locations scheduled to take place during the Sweepstakes Period. Entries will be accepted during the scheduled hours of operation at each Tour Location. The hours of operation will vary by location. Visit www.mtvU.com for a current list of dates, locations and operating hours. Participants must visit the mtvU “Dean’s List Casting Call” kiosks on-site at one of the Tour Locations and complete all required fields on the entry form, including opting-in to the Sweepstakes, and submit such entry form as directed. On-site Entries submitted in accordance with these Official Rules shall be collectively referred to hereinafter as “Eligible Entries.” Enter as many times as you wish, but limit one (1) prize per person or household. All entries become the property of MTVNOC and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Winner Selection/Notification: On or around January 8, 2007, one hundred (100) prize winners (each, a “Winner”) will be selected at random from among all Eligible Entries received. There will be ten (10) Winners drawn from among all Eligible Entries received at each Tour Location. Winners will be notified by MTVNOC, who will make up to three (3) attempts to contact the potential Winners at the phone number(s) provided on his/her entry form within the 48 hour period following winner selection. If a potential Winner is unreachable (no messages will be left on answering machines or voicemail systems), an alternate potential Winner will be randomly selected from among the remaining Eligible Entries received, at MTVNOC’s sole discretion. The odds of winning a Prize depend on the total number of Eligible Entries received at the applicable Tour Location in which an entry was submitted.

Prizes (100): Each Winner will receive one (1) Microsoft Zune MP3 Player (the “Prize”). The approximate retail value (the “ARV”) of the Prize is $399.99, and is subject to change based on current market conditions at the time of prize fulfillment.

Arrangements for prize fulfillment will be made by MTVNOC within six to eight weeks following winner selection. No substitution or transfer of the Prize or any portion thereof permitted, except by MTVNOC, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be awarded. All expenses related to the Prize not expressly set forth in these Official Rules and any taxes which may be due as a result of accepting the Prize shall be the sole responsibility of the Winners. The Winners are required to comply with any and all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations related to acceptance, receipt and use of the Prize. The total ARV of all Prizes awarded in this Sweepstakes is $39,999.

Winner Verification: Within 48 hours of receipt, each potential Winner (and if a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) must sign and return (a) an affidavit of eligibility and release of MTVNOC, Viacom, Microsoft Corporation, and their affiliated companies and subsidiaries and the respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and members of each (collectively referred to hereinafter as the “Sweepstakes Entities”), from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action for personal injury and/or damage, theft, loss, or any other harm suffered in connection with this Sweepstakes or the use/misuse or acceptance of any Prize or any portion thereof to be eligible for the Prize; and (b) except where prohibited, a promotional release granting the Sweepstakes Entities the right to use his/her name and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation. Entry into this Sweepstakes constitutes all participants’ agreement to sign such releases. Potential Winners must also complete any additional legal documents provided by the Sweepstakes Entities (or any third party on their behalf, if applicable) and return them as instructed within the timeframe specified by the Sweepstakes Entities. Noncompliance, including a potential Winner’s failure to sign and return any of the foregoing documents as provided above, may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate Winner. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES BY A WINNER OR ANY BEHAVIOR BY A WINNER THAT WILL BRING SUCH WINNER OR THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES INTO DISREPUTE (IN THE SWEEPSTAKES ENTITIES’ SOLE DISCRETION) WILL RESULT IN SUCH WINNER’S DISQUALIFICATION AS A WINNER OF "MTVU DEAN’S LIST: ZUNE GIVEAWAY SWEEPSTAKES” AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS A WINNER WILL BE IMMEDIATELY TERMINATED.

General Terms: The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost, late, delayed, or misdirected entries, or incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Sweepstakes or by any human error which may occur in the processing of the entries in this Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sweepstakes Entities which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sweepstakes Entities reserve the right in their sole discretion to terminate or modify the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on www.mtvU.com and Winners may be selected from among all eligible entries received up until the time of termination. All interpretations of these Official Rules and decisions by the Sweepstakes Entities are final. The Sweepstakes Entities reserve the right in their sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering, or has tampered with the entry process or the operation of this Sweepstakes; to be acting in violation of these Official Rules; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person or to have provided inaccurate information on any legal documents submitted in connection with this Sweepstakes.
